– search by anything
– retrieves information from several EPG sources (including user-provided)
– saving playback progress with automatic resume from previous moment
– playback speed

Network:
– browse and play local network files via UPnP/DNLA
– media library

-tvguide: option to prefer it to the standard channel browser in most places
-tvguide: do not close when launching playback and restore state when returning from playback to main screen
-backup: support saving and restoring backup exploitation user-provided hypertext transfer protocol storage via url (assume that the url applies POST information)
